Millau Viaduct

Millau viaduct:

It is the highest bridge of the word.It was designed by the French structural engineer Michel Virlogeux and british architect Norman Foster.work begins in 16 October 2011.

And laying of the first stone in 14 December 2001.

And laying of  pier foundation January 2002.

When support C8 completed, start of the work on piers june 2002.

And assembly of roadway begins september 2002.

First piers was completed November 2002. 

And laying of the first pieces of roadway 20-26 February 2003.

And official inauguration 14 december2004.

Atleast  16 December 2004 opening of the viaduct.pieces were built with  Lafarge high performance cement.The pylons of the Millau Viaduct, which are produced and mounted by Peach construction Enterprise from poland.

The millau Viaduct is located on the territory of the communes of Millau and Creissels ,france,

The bridge deck is supported by 7 pillars and weighs 36,000 tons .

7 towers, each 292 feet tall and weighs 700 tons , fitted to the supporting
